Treeing Walker Coonhound - Medium - Young - Female - Dog - Ellie
Ellie was in our local kill shelter but she wasso sweet we just had to get her out. She was taken in by a lady with the idea of training her as an assistance dog for her handicapped son but decided she did not have the time or the expertice to do it. She now wants Ellie to go. Ellie has a sweet personality and is housetrained. She is also very good and gentle with children. Right now we are also looking for a foster family for her as we do not want to put her in a kennel after being a house dog. She is small for a Walker. She has been diagnosed with masticular myicitis which is characterized by a lack of muscle mass at the top of her head. At first she could only open her mouth about an inch but she is now up to 2 inches and getting better. She may never get full motion. She is listed as special needs only because of her diagnosis. She is not on medication. She is usually quiet but does like to play with the other dogs. Wouldn't you like to add her to your family?
