I have up for sale my 97 Escort. Let me start by telling you about this car it runs fantastic! I just replaced the following Items= Front Rotors, Front Pads, Front Calipers, Front Brake Hoses, Rear Shoes, Rear Brake Hardware, Oil Sending Unit, New Spark Plug Wires and Plugs!(have receipts for all) those were some maintenence items I felt the car needed! I drive the car to and from work everyday which is about 50 miles round trip and anywhere else I want to go. It is a four door car non-power windows A/C blows cold, Heat blows hot everything works as it should. The car looks good for it's age it has some clear coat peeling on the hood and front bumper and the rear bumper has a small ding in it but it's not horrible. The car has 173,xxx miles on it and runs like it has 70,000 I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere! The car does need two things 1) exhaust work it needs the exhaust from the convertor back I priced the system installed at Muffler Man in huber heights and they gave me a quote of $260.00 that was parts and labor which is not bad or if you get your own parts they will put them on for you! The other thing the car will need in the future is tires and thats it. This would make a great car for someone that commutes like I do or for a first time driver to get around in. If you want a good car that gets 30mpg and is reliable then this is the car for you.
