What you need to succeed in this position
" Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental Management discipline or equivalent required
" Minimum of 5-7 years related, broad-based EH&S generalist experience in an industrial manufacturing setting with focus on ergonomics and training preferred (including assembly / machine shop); previous supervisory experience required
" Strong, engaging, people-centered leadership style; ability to influence in a union-free environment
" Thorough current knowledge and understanding of all aspects of federal and state (Ohio) OSHA laws and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations
" Demonstrated incident investigation expertise including Root Cause Analysis or Five Why Analysis
Preferred Qualifications
" Master's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or MBA
" Professional Certification(s): Professional Engineer (P.E.), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), Certified Safety Manager (CSM), or Licensed Safety Professional (LSP)
" Experience with Six-Sigma, 5S, and/or Lean Manufacturing
